Description:Culver Franchising System, LLC is looking for an experienced Category Supply Chain Manager (Purchasing Manager) to ensure the delivery of food and other products to all Culver's restaurants in a timely, cost effective manner while maintaining product quality and positive relationships with all suppliers, distributors, team members and franchisees.Essential Functions:• Responsible for sourcing potential suppliers, supplier management and conducting successful contract negotiations for food and other related categories• Support the development and maintenance of an optimized supply chain for all products and categories managed• Monitor compliance of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, specifications, onboarding documents and all related activities• Effectively communicate to stakeholders as applicable, i.e. Quality Assurance, Operations, Marketing, Menu Development, Design and Construction, Supply Chain and restaurants as applicable• Monitor supplier prices at distributor level to assure contract compliance• Source and obtain product samples as required• Troubleshoot concerns from franchisees regarding products, services and distribution issues• Support QA Lead in the notification to suppliers about product defects or quality assurance concerns found with their products and implement corrective action plan as necessary• Responsible for communication of product, supplier and distribution matters to our franchisees and field personnel in a timely and appropriate manner• Complete supplier business reviews, anticipate future supply needs and coach suppliers to achieve long range strategic planning and development goals• Look for and assess risk related issues, communicate with senior leadership and appropriate stakeholders as needed, to mitigate identified risks• Support the testing and development of new products or equipment• Monitor seasonal & promotional movement of products including clean up strategy for obsolete inventory• Secure and analyze market reports and commodity trends to stay current on products and pricing.• Support the forecasting process for seasonal/limited time offer, new and ongoing productsRequirements:• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related degree or relevant work experience.• Working knowledge of pricing agreements, contract language, product manufacturing, contingency planning, supplier quality, negotiation, project management, distribution, forecasting and supply chain management.• 3+ years of relevant working experience in a supply chain management position.• ISM Certification (CPM/CPSM) or other supply chain certification preferred.• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
