Job Description

What is this role about?

We are looking for an Agile Coach to join our business to coach and mentor agile teams through transformational change to drive engagement and deliver on key business objectives. 

This role is accountable for creating and implementing new capabilities and ways of working across Cuscal.  As Agile Coach leading Communities of Practice, training Cuscal employees whilst also supporting other Cuscal teams, you will develop an expertise in Agile@Cuscal and supporting individuals, teams, leaders, squads, Scrum Masters & Product Owners across the broader organisation in embedding Agile ways of working.  You will leverage your knowledge to understand many of Cuscal’s current processes and be able to lead and coach teams in their adoption of agile while solving key business problems facing Cuscal.  In this role you will communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation assisting to drive cultural change, new ways of working, challenge the status quo, and creating change.

Here’s some more insight into what you’ll work on:

  • Drive adoption of recently implemented agile ways of working across teams and the broader organisation
  • Coach and support Product Owners, Scrum Masters and more broadly the scaled Agile teams
  • Coach and support non-squad teams to embed agile ways of working throughout the broader organisation
  • Develop and execute coaching plans for teams
  • Develop and deliver Agile training for teams and business stakeholders
  • Support the Agile@Cuscal scaling framework, helping to facilitate where needed and coaching attendees
  • Contribute to the Cuscal Agile knowledge base, including but not limited to contributing to the Cuscal Agile Playbook and participating in the Agile Centre of Excellence
  • Identify, collect, and report on agile practice metrics and measurement
  • Identify and work to resolve barriers to scaling use of agile

What can you bring?

You will bring with you a minimum of 2 years of experience within the agile coaching space with preferable expertise in software development projects. You will have hands on people management experience and a proven track record of coaching and mentoring agile teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters.

With a considerable understanding of Agile and Lean values and hands on experience of working in business(es) using Scrum Agile you will be a confident leader in guiding people through transformational change. Furthermore, your skills in educating and facilitation of agile training and workshops with teams and stakeholders at all levels will be paramount to the success of this role. You will be self-assured in working with a variety of agile frameworks, including scaling and can navigate through different frameworks effectively.  With the skills to communicate successfully within a multi-layered stakeholder environment, you will have a collaborative and consultative approach to stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

As an Agile Coach, you will be a considered thinker and possess valuable decision-making skills while having the capability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment. A Scrum Master/Product Owner certification will be essential and relevant coaching certification will be highly regarded for this role.
