Research Analyst
Job Description Summary
The Research Analyst reports to the local Research Manager. The Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of local research output and thought leadership. Specifically, this position provides support for gathering and analyzing local market data and interpreting this information to identify trends in the market. Output of the analysis is used to produce research deliverables to be included in pitch and/or proposal materials and reflects various market dynamics. The Analyst is also accountable for accurate and proactive maintenance of proprietary and third-party databases with local market data, as well as pulling data from said systems to support thought leadership and forecast development. This position is not specific to a service line but may specialize by property type.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, interpret, and present real estate trends and information for business development opportunities, client support, and internal analysis for the office and industrial markets

Compile and distribute research in the form of narratives, graphics, data summaries, etc. for internal (Brokers, Property Managers, Marketing)
- Analyze market statistics, generate market reports and/or collateral material based on statistical analysis conducted

Interface with national research resources to produce standardized market reports and customized client research

Educate internal clients on available research tools and resources

Develop and maintain a proprietary commercial real estate database ensuring consistently accurate and current data

Create and analyze spreadsheets utilizing data needed to generate graphs, tables, and written analysis and make recommendations to the Director of Research

Generate statistics, tables, and graphs used in quarterly market and statistical reports
- Create quarterly market reports to include written analysis explaining statistics and market activity, which may include drafting quarterly write-up

Compile statistical data specific to client or service line by translating and converting data to graphs/tables/charts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree; Industry related field of study preferred

1+ years of real estate research or related business experience

Or any similar combination of education and experience

Experience in data entry/data management

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong data software applications skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives

Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Effective listening and critical thinking skills

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $72,250.00 - $85,000.00
