Salesforce is seeking a Customer Marketing Manager to lead our strategic customer marketing initiatives. This person will coordinate the customer marketing program and be a meticulous project manager to ensure cross-team collaboration. The successful candidate will lead our customer marketing program in order to elevate customer stories of impact. They will build joint customer marketing plans to highlight stories across channels while running customer engagement journeys from start to finish. This ideal candidate will support customer content development for both marketing activities across events and web.

The role:
The Customer Marketing Manager will serve as a trusted advisor and partner to Salesforce’s Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales teams. They will build positive relationships with key partners to ensure alignment and amplify Salesforce customers across channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Joint Marketing Customer Strategies: Collaborate with teams across Marketing and Product Marketing on joint marketing strategies to collaborate with customers to tell their story, providing an overview of potential customer marketing opportunities and our joint marketing journey.

  • Customer Content: Build and support writing and editing customer marketing content, including blog posts, web stories, and sponsored articles for strategic customers.

  • Customer Advocacy Management: Lead team members who will be responsible for the Customer Advocacy Center database and dashboard in collaboration with all customer marketing partners, keeping an up-to-date record of all global customer marketing, reference, and testimonial engagements. Prioritize and maintain a drive with all customer marketing resources to be used across the organization.

  • Customer Reference Program: Coordinate reference program through a support team, collaborating with partners to source, qualify, and connect existing customers with prospective buyers in order to support deals.

  • Customer Testimonial Program: Source and coordinate customer testimonials for third party review sites.


Required skills:

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience (customer or partner marketing, sales, agency etc.), including customer-facing experience.

  • Shown experience driving consensus across teams in multiple departments, time zones, and functions with individual priorities.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities at once.

  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations

  • Experience in launching new and innovative ideas.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with utmost attention to detail.

  • Excellent written, Google Slide and PowerPoint skills.


Preferred skills:

  • Experience in the technology marketing, nonprofit, or education sectors and sales enablement is a plus

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and a positive, proactive approach

  • Dynamic, confident personality that is self-motivated

  • Can-do, positive, inspiring demeanor with an outside-the-box, innovative and creative demeanor.


Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.)

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $131,300 to $180,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $131,300 to $180,500.
