Customer Service Representative

Patient Services: Registering patient's for approximately 1/3 of the College. This entails preparing for the day’s new patients’ appointments, gathering all demographic information, IDs, insurance information and procuring the necessary consent forms. This includes verifying appointment information and directing patients accordingly. Responsible for logging use of wheelchairs and sign stands.

Cashiering: Staff receives money bag in the morning and verifies amount. Staff accepts payments via cash, check and charge cards. At the end of the shift, incumbent runs report of day’s transactions against drawer, and transfers drawer to the Business Office.

Chart Destruction: Entails documenting inactive charts for destruction according to authorization from Records Management at UF.

Incumbent will be crossed trained to fill in for immediate supervisor (LP# 00010929) during absences. This position requires the need to comply with various projects that come on a timely basis.

Other duties as assigned.



Expected Salary:

$15.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience.



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Skill to use computer effectively.
  • Able to take instruction from supervisor(s) and carry out to satisfactory completion.
  • Able to understand and apply rules, priorities, policies and procedures to daily/overall work schedule.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good work relationships with faculty, staff and students.
