Pay Range: $15.00 - $18.75 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Pay Grade: 50.50

Position Summary: Answer phones; provide general bookstore information and sales support for high volume retail operation. Assist customers with purchases, operate cash register and assist with data entry. Receive, price, and stock merchandise. Preform operational duties at buyback and rental check-in at end of semesters. Take part in cyclical and fiscal physical inventory.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to use a variety of computer programs including word processing and spreadsheets. Will need to use standard office equipment. Must have experience with use of personal computers

Preferred Qualifications: 1 year retail cashier experience.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • To provide assistance and support with all aspects of the bookstore operations to the bookstore staff, college faculty and staff members, students and local patrons.
  • Ensure the sales floor stays clean, organized, and professional.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints. Provide information to new customers.
  • Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
