At VHC Health we are looking for team member to join our Business Office team! As a Telephone Representative you will ensure that patient's questions and concerns are answered in a timely and courteous manner. In addition to customer service duties, you can expect to collect insurance information, help patients with setting up payment arrangements, adjust payments and adjustments in patient files and other related clerical duties. Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • One year of Business Office environment experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Respond and resolve to patient/insurance inquiries in a timely, accurate and courteous manner.
  • Research and complete credit balance requests within 48 hours.
  • Assist patients in setting up payment arrangements according to departmental policies.
  • Review accounts to determine if payment and adjustments are posted correctly.
  • Report all errors in payment, adjustments and posting to the supervisor.
  • Refer accounts to appropriate outside agencies through the agency representative, and refer all agency and attorney inquiries to the agency representative.
  • Update system with correct insurance and demographic information as needed.
