The Retail Network Engineering Leader is a key member of our technology team, responsible for overseeing the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure within our retail locations. This role involves managing a team of network engineers and technicians to ensure seamless connectivity and operational efficiency across the retail Infrastructure. This leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the overall vision of the department and serve as a subject matter expert to the business needs of the retail stores.As the Lead Director, you will have the responsibility of formulating and executing strategic initiatives, supervising all LAN and WAN connectivity inside the stores inclusive of wireless technologies. . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in network engineering, and a deep understanding of retail environments and their unique networking requirements.• Lead the development and execution of the retail network engineering strategy, aligning with business objectives and growth plans.• Direct the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure in retail locations, ensuring seamless connectivity and operational efficiency working with our network operations and support teams.• Oversee a team of network engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance and foster a culture of excellence.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand retail business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable network solutions.• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in retail network technologies, leveraging emerging trends and best practices to enhance performance, security, and customer experience.• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement of network hardware, software, and services to meet retail networking needs.• Develop and maintain network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and security best practices.• Provide executive leadership with regular updates, reports, and recommendations on retail network performance, projects, and initiatives.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or executive role, preferably in a retail or multi-location environment.• Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale retail network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN technologies.• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving successful network engineering projects from conception to completion.• Strong knowledge of retail-specific technologies that may reside on the network or in-stores, such as, such as point-of-sale (POS) systems, Pharmaceutical Applications, and customer engagement solutions.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and deliver measurable business outcomes.EDUCATIONBachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience(HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)BUSINESS OVERVIEWBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
