We want everyone who works at CVS Health to feel empowered by the role they play in transforming our culture and accelerating our ability to innovate and deliver solutions to make health care more personal, convenient and affordable.Position SummaryAs the Senior Manager of Employee Relations, you will be responsible for leading a team of Advisors that support the Retail Business Unit by providing expert consultation and guidance to CVS leaders and colleagues on the application of CVS's policies and the Code of Conduct. This team of Advisors responds to a high volume of routine requests from leaders and colleagues to review matters concerning employment matters and application of employment practices and policies. Additionally, as the Senior Manager of this team, you will be responsible for handling the sensitive and/or escalated matters reported to your team. The direct team of advisors will consist of 10 or more members.You will support the development and execution of Employee Relations processes and practices and help develop strategies and interventions to support the evolution of Colleague Relations. As directed by the Executive Director of Colleague Relations, this role will provide oversight, own relationships with designated functional partners (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Security), HRBP's/leaders, and deliver applicable reporting to identify trends and recommend appropriate solutions.You will accomplish this by:• Coaching team members; spot check, case review, case calibration, performance coaching• Managing and providing expert advice, guidance and recommendations to managers/supervisors, colleagues and HRBPs on various Colleague Relations issues, HR/workplace policy interpretation and inquiries related to issues such as conduct, capability (performance and time/attendance), discipline, termination, colleague complaints, and compliance issues; ensure timely resolution of case and appropriate action is taken as necessary.• Managing, completing, and maintaining appropriate logs/trackers/systems, to ensure a full picture of Colleague Relations activity - informal and formal processes, advice given, outcomes issues, inquiries, etc.• Managing and providing appropriate data and reports, monitor business area climate, and identify any patterns or trends in Colleague Relations activity to propose solutions to address.• Leading projects as appropriate, in the proactive enhancement of Colleague Relations evolution, in response to issues, as part of broader HR or business priorities.• Facilitating and overseeing the onboarding of new Advisors• Identifying and providing training opportunities for the continued development of direct reports. In collaboration with the Colleague Relations team, participates in the development of effective CR management skill within the business through the development and delivery of appropriate training and education interventions, in partnership with relevant consultants, COES or advisors. To include communication updates, training courses, leader "How to" Q&As etc.Required Qualifications• At least 7 years of employee relations experience• 3+ years of people management/supervisory experience• In-depth knowledge of incase management software (e.g., salesforce, Navex, ServiceNow, HR Equity, etc.)Preferred Qualifications• Direct experience interacting with labor unions, including the management and disposition of grievances, as well as interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements.• Knowledge of current state and federal employment laws and regulations• Master's degree preferred• Certifications: Business Coach, Mediator, EEO Investigator, PHR/SPHR, CP/SCP (SHRM)EducationBachelor's Degree required; equivalent work experience may substitutePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$79,200.00 - $174,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
