Controls Technician - Automation, DDC
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician specializing in Direct Digital Control (DDC) and automation systems. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of building automation systems, contributing to energy savings and optimal HVAC performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot DDC and PLC systems for building automation.
- Program and configure control systems to optimize HVAC operations.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement control strategies.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on building automation systems.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities to ensure compliance and record-keeping.
- Associate's degree in Electronics, HVAC Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controls Technician or similar role in DDC and automation.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
