Legal CounselPosition OverviewWe are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across various business functions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while also safeguarding the companys interests. The Legal Counsel will play a crucial role in negotiating contracts, advising on legal risks, and developing policies and training programs.Key Responsibilities• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements.• Negotiate terms with suppliers and partners to ensure favorable conditions.• Provide legal analysis on transactional matters and compliance with regulations.• Support content acquisition processes with legal guidance.• Advise on corporate governance matters, including board meetings and record-keeping.• Oversee litigation processes and manage outside counsel relationships.• Develop and implement HR policies and employment agreements.• Conduct training sessions on legal policies and procedures for employees.• Manage intellectual property matters, including copyright and trademark portfolios.• Identify and assess legal risks associated with strategic objectives.Qualifications• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Active membership in the NY Bar, CT Bar, or IL Bar.• Minimum of 3 years of experience as in-house counsel or in a law firm.• Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.• Experience in content acquisition and supplier negotiations.• Ability to conduct legal analysis and provide strategic advice.• Familiarity with corporate governance and board meeting protocols.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Benefits• Medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance• Professional Development Programs• Unlimited PTO• Paid Parental Leave• 401k Match• Pre-tax Transportation• Employee Assistance Program• Type of work: HybridEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
