Traveling Controls Engineer- PLC ProgrammingLocation: Louisville, KYEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00Posted on: 07/31/2024Position Overview:The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC systems for various industrial automation projects. This role will involve frequent travel to client sites to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of these systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with PLC programming, strong knowledge of controls engineering, and a willingness to travel.Key Responsibilities:Design and program PLC systems for industrial automation projects.Perform system integration and testing to ensure proper functionality.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation and commissioning.Create and maintain technical documentation for all projects.Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.Provide technical support to clients during and after project completion.Travel to client sites to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of PLC systems.Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in PLC technology.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.Minimum of 3 years experience as a Controls Engineer or similar role.Expertise in PLC programming, specifically with Rockwell and Siemens systems.Strong knowledge of controls engineering and automation principles.Experience with Allen Bradley systems is a plus.Willingness to travel up to 50% for project assignments.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.This position requires up to 100 days of travel per year.Benefits:100% company paid benefits (employees AND dependents).401k 50% match.Performance bonus.PTO.Relocation bonus.Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.#J-18808-Ljbffr
