A Cybersecurity Lead at Uplift will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing an organization’s security strategy to protect the networks and data from potential cyber threats. The person in this role will monitor system activity for suspicious behavior, respond to security incidents, and provide guidance to the rest of the organization on best practices for cyber security. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Lead will stay abreast of the latest trends and threats in cybersecurity and ensure that the necessary policies and procedures are in place to protect the organization’s data and systems.
What you will do and achieve

• Developing and executing cyber security strategies and plans
• Securing data, managing access privileges, and monitoring systems
• Identifying threats, risks, and vulnerabilities
• Implementing security measures to protect networks and systems
• Creating contingency plans in the event of a cyber attack
• Researching and recommending security solutions
• Collaborating with internal Engineering teams to ensure security compliance
• Keeping up to date with the latest cyber security technologies and develop protection plans
• Educating staff on data security protocols and policies
• Producing security and incident reports for administrators and the board
• Implementing governance and network security policies and enforce them across systems

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cyber security roles
• Extensive knowledge of cyber security principles and practices
• Expertise in network security and firewalls
• Experience with intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and other security solutions
• Familiarity with cryptography technologies and encryption protocols
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot cyber security breaches
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to perform risk assessments and familiarity with risk modeling

Set yourself apart with

• Professional certifications - InfoSec, Cloud platforms, Okta
• Familiarity with Cloud system administration
• Strong understanding of API security, Identity and Access Management
• In-depth knowledge of OWASP testing methodologies, CIS and NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and C-SCRM

At Uplift, in accordance with the U.S pay transparency laws across various states, we provide the minimum and maximum pay range for each of our levels. This reflects the minimum and maximum ranges for new hire salaries. There are two ranges that reflect positions across all US locations. The first range includes: New York and California whereas the second range includes all other US states. Within each range, there are several different factors that are considered when determining compensation including but not limited to the candidate's location, title, years of experience, job related skills and relevant education. In addition to the base salary, we offer competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision and pre-ipo stock options.
