Security Services Team Lead

About the role:

Cyderes is looking for a committed, creative, and experienced cyber security professional to lead a dedicated engineering team that serves one of our most strategic customers. This candidate should have a good understanding of how networks, endpoints, SIEM and servers interoperate inside a corporate IT, OT, and cloud environment. Prior experience managing a security operations or IT service desk team is preferred. Candidates will need to have a customer-first attitude and be comfortable interacting with a number of different stakeholders both internal to Cyderes and external-facing to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Response Processes, tracking, reporting, and workflow 
  • Lead and mentor engineers, and work with all applicable business units 
  • Deliver operational excellence based on defined measures and metrics to provide transparency, overall awareness, and healthy service levels 
  • Implement goals aligned with the company and customer vision and culture 
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, detect threats, and reduce risk
  • Plan and execute special projects to support customer initiatives
  • Coordination of teams across global time zones
  • Other duties as assigned 


Requirements
  • Understanding of networking security, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, and SIEM technologies
  • Experience in a client-facing role working with a wide range of business units 
  • Advanced-level understanding of business risk and how to properly advise a customer through critical situations
  • Intermediate proficiency with ticketing system (reporting, dashboards, etc. ServiceNow preferred.)
  • Previous oversight of technical service teams
  • Aptitude for starting projects and seeing them through to a successful close, small to medium scale
  • Proven success in managing ticket queues, reducing time-to-response, and meeting customer Service Level Agreements


Preferred
  • Formal education in computer science, cyber security, or similar
  • Experience working in ICS or OT-focused environment 
  • Industry certifications (MSFT preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with ticketing systems (reporting, dashboards, etc. ServiceNow preferred)
  • Cloud environments and technologies (Azure, O365, Proofpoint)
