The Revenue Operations Manager, Systems role oversees all major Sales and sales support groups tech stack. This role will be responsible for maintaining vendor relations, negotiating renewals, helping to procure new software and subscriptions, tracking ROI from the existing stack, and acting as a bridge between IT and the greater sales org for any admin requirements and major process and system changes. The role will also provide the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Legal, IT, Procurement, and sales and marketing support teams. 

How you will make a difference: 

  • Maintaining Vendor Relations: Periodically checking in with our software/subscriptions vendors to ensure optimal usage and discuss best practices and collect recommendations. 
  • Track & Negotiate Renewals: Maintain central documents that track renewal dates. Proactively reach out to vendors before renewal dates to start negotiating for new terms. Be able to gather relevant information to support reasoning for price adjustments and cost optimization. 
  • Facilitate Procurement of New Tech: Work with Go-To-Market groups to satisfy internal requirements for tech procurement. Be able to facilitate the creation of business cases, gather requirements, negotiate pricing, and assess implementation requirements. Become SME on end-to-end procurement process and act as facilitator and liaison between Procurement, Legal, InfoSec, Finance, and IT. 
  • Act as Admin and Bridge: Act as intermediate admin and SME for Sales tech stack handling such responsibilities as System Access Requests, system license distribution, and engaging of vendor support. Act as a bridge between the Sales org and IT to process and resolve internal systems support issues.  
  • Process Documentation & Change Management: Facilitate and create process documentation for internal systems processes. Be able to iterate optimally when changes occur and communicate change through a consistent change management process. Act as Project Manager for system changes. 
  • Tech Stack Budget Planning: Actively participate in and contribute to tech stack budget planning with monthly touchpoint with Finance Business Partner to review updates, changes, and upcoming renewals. 
  • Implementation Consultant and Project Manager: Act as consultant and project manager for major tech implementations. Be able to gather requirements for successful implementations and engage teams as necessary for optimal implementation timelines. Be able to communicate required deadlines and milestones effectively to major stakeholders.

  • Presentation: Be able to present ROI and usage results to all levels of the business to demonstrate effectiveness of tech. 
  • Communication: Be comfortable discussing your findings with all levels of the business both verbally and written. Be able to create a change management process based on effective communication to stakeholders. 
  • Analytical: Be able to analyze issues down to root cause with the ultimate goal of future-proofing implementations and systems processes. 
  • Organization, Time Management, & Project Management: Be able to juggle and prioritize concurrent projects and initiatives. Possess refined organization and time management skills. Be comfortable both leading and participating in major project initiatives. 
  • Adaptability: Be adaptable to changing processes, demands, and priorities. 

Skills 

  • Salesforce: Advanced-level knowledge required to be able to troubleshoot major issues and perform admin-level updates.  
  • Marketing Tools: Advanced-level knowledge of marketing automation tools (I.e., Marketo, Pardot, DemandBase, 6Sense, etc.) 
  • Business Development Tools: Advanced-level knowledge of business development tools (I.e., ZoomInfo, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, Chorus.ai, etc.  
  • DevOps Tools: Familiarity with DevOps tools (I.e., Copado) 
  • API Integration: Familiarity with integrating different APIs with Salesforce and other tech stack 
  • Collaboration Tools: Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools (I.e., Microsoft Planner, Trello, Confluence, etc.) 
  • Presentation Software: Proficiency with presentation tools (I.e., Microsoft PowerPoint) to effectively communicate important data points and commentary

Suggested Qualifications/Experience: 

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years experience in RevOps and/or MarOps at least 2 of which were at the admin level. 
  • Extensive experience with Sales CRMs, Marketing automation platforms, and Business Development platforms 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Sales and Marketing cycles and metrics preferred 
  • Demonstrated experience in tracking and communicating tech stack ROI and managing vendor relations 
  • Demonstrated experience leading major tech implementation projects 
  • Experience with vendor negotiations and procurement process. 
  • Experience with process documentation and maintenance. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience and comfortability communicating with all levels of business

The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range
$88,000$109,000 CAD
