Dallas South Operations Manager

Overview

  • Lead one to three L4 Team Supervisors as that oversee the work of 35-40 hourly associates with varying levels of experience and education
  • Responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety
  • Develop team supervisors and the team to solve operational issues
  • Motivate the team to achieve performance targets
  • Support Team Supervisors as they coach team members to use the process and facilitate problem solving on the floor. Administer policies and procedures. Initiate and implement projects
  • Coach team to facilitate problem solving
  • This position must have the ability to work an off shift
  • Provide high level of customer service to local sales team

Responsibilities

  • Develop team supervisors to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short & long term performance goals
  • Communicate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
  • Motivate team supervisors and team members to achieve plan goals
  • Organize and facilitate work team meetings
  • Solve daily operational issues
  • Administer policies and practices
  • Initiate and implement projects
  • Conduct presentations and formal training programs
  • Improve team communication and engagement
  • Ability to think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same
  • High drive for results

Qualifications

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have a college degree. Preferred degrees in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related major
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and highly motivated self starter
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results oriented, challenging environment
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
  • Role will be a L06 or L07 based on experience.
  • Open to moderate travel
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work off shifts, weekends, & holidays
