The Bioprocess Downstream Field Application Specialist is responsible for providing pre and post-sales technical support and application consulting directly drives increased sales of downstream hardware, significantly impacting the organization's revenue. Additionally, troubleshooting customer technical issues and implementing process improvements enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty, fostering long-term relationships and potentially leading to further business opportunities.  

This position reports to the BioProcess Sales Specialist & FAS leader and is part of the BioProcess Korea team located in Songdo & Seoul and working remotely to cover Korean customer. 

What you will do:

• Technical Support & Application Consulting: Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers and the sales team before and after sales to drive more sales of Cytiva's downstream hardware.
• Consultative Relationship Building: Establish technical credibility with customers to become a trusted advisor, understand their needs, and link Cytiva's downstream solutions to their objectives.
• Customer Engagement: Prioritize and deliver product demonstrations, technical support, training, site visits, and follow-ups to build strong, long-term customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction while efficiently using team and Cytiva resources.
• Troubleshooting & Process Improvement: Resolve customer technical issues, identify opportunities for process improvement in their manufacturing, and design and implement innovative solutions.
• Reporting & Collaboration: Diligently report all field activities and customer interactions in SFDC and collaborate with regional and global teams to address product and technical issues, complaints, and provide timely responses.

Who you are:

• Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is required. A master's degree or experience in research and development is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in protein purification and a strong understanding of chromatography and filtration technologies are preferred.
• Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to thrive in a multinational environment, with a talent for influencing and negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders, and a demonstrated capacity to work efficiently within a matrix organization.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Korean is essential.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Language/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Fluent level of English & Korean in written and verbal communications
• Ability to travel abroad upon business needs
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record within territory or locations
• If foreign national, legal work permit is required to pursue employment contract by Korean immigration law
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 24kg, any other physical requirements
