We are seeking a New York based Associate Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence Team supporting Sanford C. Bernstein, a sell-side broker dealer.
Team & Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Team partners with senior business leaders throughout the organization to optimize client performance and business decision-making through data analysis and business process improvement. The team collaborates across the groups to solve problems and will often act as an intermediary between business and technology.
In this role, you will acquire expertise in business practices related to sales, trading, and research, and will develop rigorous analytical and problem-solving skills. Our team is relatively small, offering you a high level of responsibility and opportunity for business impact.
The group’s responsibilities include:
Bespoke business analysis for sales, trading, research, and management
Sales enablement functions
Design and development of business performance reporting/tools
Development and oversight of business process enhancements
Revenue analysis including but not limited to managerial forecasting
Oversight of Commission Sharing services
Data quality & governance
The role’s responsibilities include:
Serve as a Data Analyst/Product Owner for sales, trading, research, and management
Develop bespoke data analyses, dashboards, and data stories for senior stakeholders
Communicate key insights to senior level stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business process improvements, implementation, and deliverables
Explore and validate third party finance datasets used for sales and management reporting. Collaborate with technology teams to develop processes and workflows for integrating them with internal data systems
Document relevant business processes
Qualifications

The ideal candidate is highly organized and can meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
The ideal candidate typically possesses:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments to resolve issues
Interest and proficiency in data collection and analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., finance, economics, math, engineering, statistics, accounting) with 2-4 years of experience working with data directly preferred.
