Who you are:
We’re looking for a Data Analyst II to continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of our analytics and reporting infrastructure. Drive process optimizations forward and provide an analytical framework for the insights that inform product, marketing, sales, and business decisions across the company. Work with SQL, Python, and other programming languages to analyze company wide data. Utilize statistical knowledge to design and create metrics to analyze the performance of Dataminr’s AI models at different stages of Dataminr’s core business. Conduct ad-hoc analysis at the stakeholders’ request. Build visualization dashboards to help stakeholders or company management to understand the company’s performance at each stage of business. Use analytical tooling to transform raw data into meaningful insights informed by best practices in data governance and analytical techniques. Identify metrics that enable high quality understanding of the performance of the company’s key initiatives and then work with BI and Analytics Engineers to implement the corresponding custom metrics, dashboards, and tooling that measure and track performance. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.
Required Skills & Experience:
- This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, or a related field and 3 years related experience.
- Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following:
  • Analyzing large datasets and troubleshooting complicated data by using advanced analytical tools like SAS and Python;
  • Using statistical methods and causal inference methods to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights, and performing logistic regression, survival analysis, propensity score matching, decision tree analysis;
  • Working with business stakeholders in a highly analytical role (data analysis and visualization, business analysis, automation) to understand processes, develop metrics, and deliver presentations;
  • Optimizing complex SQL queries to extract information from big datasets and transform granular data into aggregated insights; and
  • Designing product strategies by analyzing user behaviors and tracking key metrics.

- Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s degree.
- Full-time, position may telecommute from any location in the U.S.
- Salary: $128,003 to $145,000/year.
