The Colleague Services and Digital Capabilities (CSDC) organization at American Express plays a critical role in in providing the best-in-class services, capabilities, data, and insights that enable a great colleague experience. The organization builds and evolves essential foundational and operational products and services to enable Colleague Experience Group (CEG) and the business. The CSDC organization manages the ecosystem of CEG platforms, applications, third party partners, colleague insights and reporting, and colleague-related risk, compliance, and governance.


As the Reporting & Data Analyst of Colleague Insights Reporting & Data you will enable our CEG and business unit partners to drive business decisions and strategy by building, implementing, and delivering on a range of colleague data, reports, and dashboards.


Not only you will serve as a center of excellence and subject matter expert for critical Human Resources data (including recruitment, talent, etc.) your work will help shape the transformation of the function as we find ways to optimize what and how we deliver.


Job responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop Dashboards and reports that will be used by CEG to analyze the results across business segments for American Express
  • Work closely with Technologies and assist in the definition and translation of business use cases to technical deliverables
  • Assist in the resolution of issues related to the Dashboards including coordinating resolution in case of issues and changes, working in coordination with immediate team members as well as other groups
  • Maintain the current reporting platform through continuous review of dashboards and reports for relevance
  • Support the development of controls and governance for the platform and assist in their implementation across the organization
  • Partner with Technology team during platform upgrades to ensure that there are no business interruptions due system outages
  • Perform reporting tool reviews to provide product recommendations

Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience working in a reporting environment: querying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and building reports
  • Proficiency in human capital management systems and software, Oracle HCM preferred
  • Working knowledge of recruiting, talent and core HR data and systems is a plus
  • Ability to handle considerable volumes of complex data
  • Analytical mindset and intellectually curious
  • Ability to lead and project manage high profile projects
  • Agile mindset in product development
  • Tenacious and Creative problem solver
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Must be a self-starter with an ability to drive large scale change
  • Experience working on a globally and culturally diverse team and supporting global processes
  • Experience building reports in any reporting platform preferably Oracle BI suite & Tableau
  • Experience working in a Big Data Platforms using query tools like Hive and Dbeaver is a plus
  • Background in statistics is a plus
  • Understanding of data modelling and system architecture a plus
