We are recruiting a data integration engineer, who is knowledgeable in the full data integration lifecycle in a complex and demanding commercial environment. Based in Mumbai, the engineer will be part of a global team responsible for the ingestion, management, provision of both market data, and fundamental data; for the use of business analysts, data scientists, traders and applications such as dashboards and trading systems.
Data ingestion / integration, ETL/ELT data pipeline design, data modelling, data provisioning
- Python, SQL
- AWS data stack (E.g. S3, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Athena)
- Experience with data related to commodities, financial markets, power generation, weather or shipping would be a plus
Abilities, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related subjects
- AWS certifications are a plus
- Experience with enterprise scale data systems
Competencies:
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders across business lines and technology
- Understanding and experience implementing software engineering best practices
- Ability to work as part of a global team utilizing agile management methods
The Data Science and Engineering team researches, develops, and provides advanced analytics and data services to the trading business, and other commercial operations at Trafigura
- It is comprised of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Quantitative Finance experts
- It is a commercially driven, front office aligned team that works in close partnership with the trading desks, global research and enterprise technology
- Report into the DSE Global Data Engineering Manager who reports into the DSE Head of Engineering.
