Job Summary
Better Being is looking for a Credit & Returns Clerk to review credit requests and enter requests into the order processing system. The ideal candidate will have a positive, professional attitude and demeanor, and constantly be looking for ways to improve the service we provide to our customers, both internal and external. The Data Entry Clerk will report to the Accounting Supervisor. This is a temporary position.
Essential Functions
- Address customer credit requests through Outlook.
- Work with billing and database systems.
- Perform research and problem resolution using multiple systems, tools, and resources while effectively interfacing with customers.
- Calculate customer's credits, charges, and percentages.
- Must have a positive, professional attitude and demeanor, and constantly be looking for ways to improve the service we provide to our customers, both internal and external.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develops a consciousness for the need for teamwork to attain department objectives.
- Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to critically analyze data and follow through on corrections.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult customers.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Employee must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, field of vision.
