Also, maintaining standards of Enterprise Connect Care and BSMG policy to ensure ease of retrieval of such information by providers and staff across BSHSI.
Employment Qualifications 3 years’ experience in a medical setting preferred. Working knowledge of medical record format and content of patient records. Knowledge to comprehend, review records, read physician documentation, and verify patient identification. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with practice managers and other medical group staff/ leadership in a positive manner. Work requires a high level of accuracy with the ability to concentrate on detailed information for extended periods of time. Prior experience with an electronic medical record required. EPIC EMR knowledge preferred. Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and stay organized to meet departmental quality and productivity goals, while having a team centered approach to ensure that the department thrives appropriately.
Essential Job Functions
Reviews and prioritize records electronically via Proficient and/or courier to facilitate an efficient and effective workflow. Enters and/or updates Health Maintenance information to ensure compliance data is available and to enable reporting on key measures. Proofs completed scans/imports on a daily basis to ensure the integrity and quality of documentation entered. Preps and scans documents from external sources into correct chart location for providers and other clinical users. Scans documents into the electronic health record utilizing the Enterprise CC and BSMG protocols. Identify and scan documents with proper level, document type and description to ensure ease of retrieval by providers/staff across BSHSI. Maintains departmental defined quality audit scores and productivity levels. Monitors and problems solves as necessary on issues such as invalid or missing patient information in order to ensure a complete and accurate record. Maintains timely monitoring and distribution of documents into the correct proficient queues as set forth in standard operating procedures. Import and Export documents correctly from proficient to Epic according to guidelines of quality set forth in the department. Maintain a positive working relationship with appropriate BSMG practice personnel to ensure open communication relative to Centralized Scanning.
