TITLE: Data Science Developer II, AVP

LOCATION: New York, NY (Option to work remotely within a commutable distance from the worksite)

DUTIES: Help discover information hidden in vast amounts of data and build scalable pipelines. Apply data mining techniques, perform statistical analysis, and build high-quality prediction systems. Work closely with data scientists to build data pipelines to onboard large structured and unstructured data. Construct robust scalable pipelines using Databricks and AWS Lambda, as well as batch to deploy applications in Python/PySpark. Support and maintain existing production processes on Airflow and onboard new processes. Integrate new software tools for data analysis into the existing toolset. Collaborate with the team on quick evaluation of new data sources by assisting with transfer and processing data. Identify and download public datasets to be used by the team for performing analyses.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Data Analyst, or a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with all of the following: Data science languages including Python, R, Scala, and SQL; Cleaning, aggregating, and pre-processing data from various sources; Building scalable data pipelines for alternative data; Automating deployments of code and infrastructure using Terraform; Building Distributed computing languages including PySpark; and Utilizing AWS services including Lambda, S3, ECR, and Batch. The above position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Neuberger Berman Group LLC’s Employee Referral Award Program.

HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)

SALARY: $149,500 - $149,500 per year

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $149,500-$149,500. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
