Data Scientist

Open to Remote or Hybrid

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Analyze complex business problems using mathematical and statistical methods to provide insight to decision-makers

Create and maintain data sets that would utilize machine learning and predictive modeling

Identify, gather, and analyze data from various internal and external sources to support decision making

Performing analytic modeling, scripting, and/or programming

Create analytical reports to provide valuable, relevant business insights for various departments throughout the company

Provide application analysis and data modeling design to collect data for centralized data warehouse

Create and maintain data dictionaries, data models, and other documentation to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Implement and work with Business Intelligence tools (ex. SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and Excel) and dashboard reports

Identify trends, patterns and opportunities in complex data and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format

Other duties as assigned

Education:

Master’s degree, preferably in statistics, data analytics, or other quantitative discipline. A combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Experience:

A total of 5 or more years of relevant experience
Strong level of comfort with both SQL and statistical programming languages

Strong knowledge of BI and/or Analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, Python, etc.

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases

Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This is a full time position, with 40 hours in an average week. This position has somewhat flexible hours after initial training is complete due to business need.
