Data Verification Specialist

MRI Software is seeking a Verification Specialist to join our team in Solon, OH or Atlanta, GA (hybrid)!

Verification Specialist role working on our MRI Multifamily Insurance Solution, providing timely tracking of our clients’ mandatory renters insurance programs using integrated technology solutions with MRI’s platform X, internal tracking tools and suite of real estate software products.

Coordinate with MRI insurance provider and Client to ensure timely tracking for all insurance policies, both preferred and third-party insurance policies. Such tracking shall include verifying that all residents listed on the Client’s rent roll (as provided by Client’s property management software system) have a current insurance policy and that such insurance policies adhere to the client’s outlined insurance policy requirements.
Enter, validate, and maintain resident policy information and proof of insurance for client’s property managers and leasing agents.
Maintains timely tracking of all interested party notifications, both preferred and third-party insurance policies. Identifies the correct action to take based on the interested party notifications.
Communicates with residents who do not meet the client’s outlined insurance policy requirements that they must obtain valid, satisfactory insurance per their lease agreement with the client. Provides the same information to the property where the defaulting resident resides and informs of the follow up action taken or to be taken.
Advise on forced insurance policies for residents who do not meet the Client’s outlined insurance policy requirements based on Client’s rent roll (as provided by Client’s property management software system)
Answers inbound calls and fields questions pertaining to an existing resident’s mandatory insurance program and determines the appropriate course of action
Excellent phone etiquette, dedication to customer service, and strong problem-solving abilities
Answer all calls; de-escalating the call where appropriate and providing solutions that leave the customer satisfied with the resolution
Flexibility to take on ad hoc responsibilities or assistance with special research or project orientated tasks whereas may be needed
Laisse with client experience specialist on queries and discrepancies and discussions on possible solutions to them
Provide superior service by delivering a WOW experience for both independent agents and National General Insurance customers
Genuine interest in technology and a passion to deliver cutting-edge software and services and adapt to the daily changes that come with that

Skills & Other Requirements

Previous experience in insurance operations with renter’s insurance, multi-family insurance, personal auto, commercial, or other related insurance
Communicates effectively through oral and written communication
Proficient at considering process improvements on a continuous basis and sharing opportunities with Leadership
Ability to adhere to schedules while maintaining an acceptable level of service, customer satisfaction and quality
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Must be customer-oriented and able to effectively troubleshoot and resolve customer questions and concerns
Ability to multi-task and manage several systems daily
Ability to make decisions quickly by balancing company guidelines and customer needs
General computer skills, such as the use of MS-applications
Mastery of MS-excel
