Position Overview:

The Data Visualization Specialist will work directly with the Data Solutions team to act as the bridge between data and the people who need it, by providing conditioned, cleaned, digestible, actionable data to enable stakeholders to uncover the insights that will drive efficiencies and improvement in the way they work. They will work with Business Data Analysts and stakeholders to turn business requirements into actionable dashboards which can create valuable insights for the business.

What You'll Do:
Use tools such as Power BI and other data input tools to collect, analyze and visualize data in ways that provide insights;
- Proactively evaluate, capture, and translate complex business questions into a structured analytical plan, including identification of effective work streams;
- Explore the unknown and brainstorming new ideas to uncover causality and hidden correlations;
- Work on data visualizations and analysis, combining multiple data sets, to deliver a concise set of insights through various reporting methods;
- Work with the Data Management Office to implement best practices and processes for data consumption (visualization) and to produce optimal and performant solutions.
We're Looking For:
Must have 1+ year of experience with data visualization the software Power BI, and similar experience with Tableau, Qlik, Quick Base, etc,;
- Must have 1+ year of experience with writing queries with SQL (not data manipulation: update/delete, just transformation);
- Familiarity R, S+, Python and/or SAS, other statistical or relational database analytical tools;
- Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDMS) (Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.);
- Experience with data modeling and data analytics tools; Power BI’s DAX language a plus;
- Experience with collecting data using the Power Platform (Power Apps, MS Flow).
