Database Administrators roles and responsibilities are crucial to the success of our product platform at Entrata. The Database Administrator (DBA) is pivotal in providing highly scalable and performant databases which drive features and functions for our product platform. The DBA proactively works with development, operations and support teams to provide technical and operational support of database servers, including logical and physical database design, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance-tuning, monitoring and optimization.
The Database Administrator is key to the success of Entrata’s Research and Development (R & D) department and reports through the Platforms Organization. This position is primarily responsible for the support and uptime of mission-critical PostgreSQL data applications and services. The role includes everything from configuration, performance, security, automation, observability and more. Success for this role will be to focus on automation, high-availability, performance, and end-to-end optimizations of our databases.
