Director of Business Development

Databento is seeking a Director of Business Development to oversee sales efforts and drive revenue growth. Ideal candidate has PLG startup experience and expertise in data products and market microstructure.

Skills

Experience with end-to-end sales pipeline for PLG startups
Understanding of data products, quant trading, and market microstructure
Attention to detail, record-keeping, and automation skills
Professional communication skills for institutional financial products
Sales cycle management and ability to work in a startup environment
Bonus: Active usage of Github and knowledge of C++, Python, and/or Rust

Responsibilities

Work with sales and marketing teams to find new prospects and nurture existing pipeline
Drive revenue growth by achieving sales targets and pursuing new business opportunities
Establish and maintain accurate forecasting procedures, build executive relationships, stay updated on industry trends, and collaborate across teams
