The successful candidate will be based in the NEW YORK TRISTATE AREA, with the ability to come to our New York City Headquarters on a flexible, hybrid schedule.

Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the product design team at Digital Asset, tasked with bringing a world class experience to our customers as they bring our vision of creating the Global Economic Network to life. You shape the product-wide design practice and processes and you and your team’s work directly influences every aspect of our customer’s and user’s experience (UX / UI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Share your deep product design experience and collaborate with product and engineering leadership to incorporate design methodology and practices into all aspects of product delivery.
  • Work cross-functionally, building relationships within marketing, product management, engineering and technical enablement to represent product design company-wide and support all functions to incorporate design practices into their culture.
  • Promote the use of the whole design methodology throughout all product and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate and influence the product design team that supports product delivery teams including product managers, engineers, technical writers and instructional designers to understand user needs and deliver high-quality user-centered experiences.
  • Contribute your own visual, user experience, and developer experience design skills to product initiatives.
  • Own and prioritize the design backlog

Key Criteria

  • 5+ years experience as a designer of software products.
  • A portfolio demonstrating understanding of several of:
    • the product design process and ability to deliver high quality experiences
    • web design and front-end development best practices including but not limited to: usability, accessibility and responsive design
    • collecting and interpreting qualitative and quantitative feedback
    • user experience design
    • visual design
    • design research
  • Ability to learn and work with complex systems and highly technical subject matter.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency with Figma and other prototyping tools.
  • Position is based in our New York headquarters.

The following are a plus:

  • Previous experience leading a design practice or team.
  • Experience with developer products and developer experience.
  • Prior B2B and SaaS/PaaS product design experience.
  • Prior experience in financial services.

The estimated salary range for this role, based in our New York City office, is $140,000 to $155,000. The range may vary if based outside the New York tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). Base salaries are determined during our interview process, during which we assess the candidate's experience, skills and capabilities against internal peers and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
