Debt Collector


As a Debt Collector, you will be expected to execute adequate and timely collection and/or instigate recovery activities in order to minimize risk costs and optimize returns.


Day to Day

  • Identify and investigate payment arrears in the portfolio and code debtor appropriately in order to determine following collection process steps
  • Communicate with debtors by telephone and in writing
  • Manage debtors and arrears process
  • Identify quality adjustment requests
  • Multi-tasking and time management
  • Attention to detail in updating system with notes
  • Continue all necessary actions to collect payments
  • Record debtor and arrears history in order to ensure a complete file as a sound basis for decision making during collection, recovery
  • Time Management and Prioritization

Essentials

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of collections, customer service, and/or sales experience preferred
  • Experience & knowledge in the leasing & finance sector is a plus
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
  • Customer focused
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Quality driven and results oriented
  • Able to work in a very fast-paced environment and adapt to situations
  • Ability to use and navigate Microsoft products

Applicable Pay Range

$49,246.47 - $73,869.71

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the applicable pay range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
