BrightFarms is at the forefront of transforming the way we grow and distribute leafy greens in the United States. The Company currently operates 16 acres of production at 6 greenhouse farms in the Northeast and Midwest and is in the process of building new regional hubs that will increase the Company’s production by 50 acres over the next 3 years. We are seeking an experienced deductions specialist that can lead the creation of a deductions management process from end to end, while also being directly responsible for the day-to-day deductions handling. This position will report into the sales finance team and will have the opportunity to develop other financial competencies by working cross functionally with the rest of the finance and accounting team on other analytical assignments as business needs arise. This position is based out of BrightFarms headquarters in Irvington, NY, steps away from the Metro North Hudson Line and can offer a partially remote work schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze and reconcile all promotional deductions to validate dates and amounts
• Ensure all customer deductions have appropriate documentation to support the charges
• Liaise with internal teams including sales, operations, and logistics to investigate and resolve drivers of deductions
• Work with customers to resolve discrepancies and collect reimbursement where necessary
• Develop deductions reporting and KPI process to classify and track the different types of deductions by customer and provide monthly review materials to enable greater visibility to customer spend
• Export deduction data from customer portals and reconcile against internal tracking to identify any overages or shortfalls in our trade accruals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting
• 2-4 years of credit/collections experience with a CPG company
• General ledger experience preferred
• Excel expert, proficient with pivot tables, lookups, and working with large data sets
• Self-sufficient, problem solver, comfortable working autonomously to develop new processes
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills
