About the Role

We are looking for a Strategy and Operations Manager to join our fast-growing Defense team. You will lead task coordination across multiple technical, business, and administrative workstreams. Duties will include administrative tasks such as office management, organization and execution of external meetings, and documention and process management. The operations lead will also have the opportunity to develop internal management processes, lead business development strategy discussions, and engage with Applied's customers.

At Applied, you will:

Lead day-to-day operations of a busy office, including managing suppliers, negotiating with vendors, and providing administrative support to the Applied Defense team
Monitor and analyze defense business opportunities, market trends, and competition, to provide recommendations to the Business Development team
Execute heavy scheduling of internal and external meetings in a fast growth startup environment
Manage ongoing initiatives and projects via meeting management, document organization, and both email and in-person follow-ups
Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure successful completion across any special projects
Liaise between Business Development and Marketing to coordinate attendance at defense trade shows and conferences

We're looking for someone who has:

2+ years of administrative experience
2+ years of business development or consulting experience
Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
Strong organizational skills and is highly detail-oriented
Proven track record of execution

Nice to have:

Experience as an Office Manager or Executive Assistant for the CEO
Experience working in a fast-paced software company
Experience with the Google suite of tools (e.g., Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive)
