Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit

Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Registrar for Strategic Scheduling, the Degree Works Analyst will collaborate with leadership to ensure delivery of existing services and the development of new functionality and services in Degree Works (degree audit, Student Educational Planner System, and Transfer Equivalency). To that end, this position analyzes, builds, scribes, and modifies degree requirements in Degree Works; tests and troubleshoots degree audits and enhancements; collaborates with Academic Affairs Technologies and Innovation (AATI) and Information Technology Services (ITS) on the release management of Degree Works related upgrades as well as Degree Works program scribe (technical SQL-like computer language), processes curriculum substitutions and waivers, provides functional support to students, faculty and staff, rolls out DegreeWorks enhancements to campus constituents, conducts training workshops twice a year, and assists with the management of special projects. This position is also responsible for documenting all processes related to Degree Works.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor’s degree and some computer coursework from an regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of experience in business application consulting or development; or Associate’s degree in Computer Programming and one (1) year of experience in application consulting or development.
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications
Three years of experience working directly with Degree Works using Scribe, SureCode, and Transit.
