You will work along-side top engineers and technical thought leaders building Cloud solutions helping shape the future of global enterprises. You will be at the heart of the technical solutioning and leading-edge product development.
Work you'll do:
Support a Public Sector client in California as they build out a new, modern suite of products on their AWS cloud platform utilizing some of the industries most modern, cloud-native tools. In addition, you will advise and build cloud-native web applications utilizing mostly open-source technologies on the AWS EKS platform. You will also be develop software to help teams solve problems, build proof-of-concepts, or perform code reviews for critical components. This project large involves a large application that will take 8-10 development teams to design and build over multiple years.
Responsibilities include:
• Design and architect scalable, robust, and maintainable web applications that utilize .NET Core and related technologies.
• Own key solution decisions that are typical at the beginning of a new software product lifecycle. E.g., architectural design patterns, engineering workflows, libraries and packages, etc.
• Evaluate and research technology options and make engineering design decisions.
• Leverage open-source technologies and communities.
• Create and maintain architectural design documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development and architecture to continuously enhance the team's skill set and maintain our competitive edge.

We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Qualifications
Required:
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in systems development, analysis, programming and testing.
• Advanced experience (3+ years) server-side frameworks specifically Microsoft .Net Core.
• Advanced experience (3+ years) building cloud-native applications that includes working with containers and orchestration, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Advanced experience (3+ years) with open source RDMBS technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and designing efficient data models
• Advanced experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Advanced familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies for project management.
• Understanding of security best practices and implementing measures to protect web applications from potential vulnerabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred:
• Three (3) years of full-time experience, within the past five (5) years, producing and maintaining detailed technical architecture diagrams, documenting the logical and physical system architecture components, and establishing traceability between the business functions and system components.
• Three (3) years of full-time experience, within the past five (5) years, in a lead position and responsible for evaluating and recommending technology solutions and developing technical road maps using industry standard architectural frameworks that map/align with federal architecture frameworks and methodologies.
• Three (3) years of full-time experience, within the past five (5) years, developing prototype or a reference implementation of a system design as part of the elaboration of the system architecture to the engineering organization
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.'
Travel:This position requires travel to Sacramento, CA approximately 3-4 days per month at the start of the project and then ramping down to 1-2 days per month.
