The Demand Planning Analyst, US Luxury Demand Planning is responsible for the analysis, creation, and maintenance of accurate unit forecasts and valuations for assigned fragrance brands. The completed forecasts are the basis of Coty’s production and purchasing decisions. The Demand Planning Analyst is a key, vocal leader of the monthly local business unit S&OP process that brings alignment across leadership and all functions of the organization. In addition, the analyst will work with supply chain partners to ensure meeting service level and inventory (net working capital) goals

This position will report to the Demand Planning Manager with a strong collaboration with cross functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Sales & Business Development and Supply Planning

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:
Demand Planning : Ensure overall reasonability of Sales Forecasts for the Market (Business Unit) and drive actions plan to improve products mix predictability and an appropriate level of forecast. Manage a rolling 24-month unit forecast which drives production while balancing the corporate objectives of increased customer service levels, prudent levels of weeks supply, minimization of excess inventory, and long-term capital planning.
New Launch Forecasting : Work with the Marketing Teams to assign Share objectives to new Launches. Develop Ship Share/Consumption models identifying retail consumption and gross sales at the individual sku level in units and dollars. Monitor results and methodologies for continuous improvement.
Consensus Forecasting : Coordinate monthly consensus meeting with key sales partners, and the local marketing team, for review of gross sales and unit forecasts at brand and SKU level. Present analysis of forecast models.
Sales & Operations Planning : Support the Demand Planning Department in the preparation of the Regional and Global S&OP processes.
Collaboration with Key Accounts : Collaborate in monthly forecast collaboration meetings with key account Managers and Analysts.
Manage Supply Chain : Share ownership of customer service level metrics through a strong relationship with Production and Logistics; participating in weekly; service level, root cause, and resolution, processes.
Team Leadership : Be an active team member and collaborate internally

QUALIFICATIONS

We’d love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
4-year Undergraduate Degree, (MBA is a plus)
1-2 years of Demand Planning experience in the CPG Industry
Experience in working in a Sales & Operations Planning environment is helpful.
Minimum 2+ years Excellent qualitative/quantitative analytical skills

Desirable:
IBF certification a plus.
Familiarity with Futurion, SAP, BI and MFR reporting systems
