RN Intake Specialist (1099 Contract)

Job Purpose: Join the dedicated team at Denova Collaborative Health, in partnership with Mercy Care, as an RN In-Take Specialist. This role offers registered nurses a unique opportunity to contribute to mental health services by working directly with Mercy Care Advantage members through the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) program. Beginning in October 2024, this position allows for impactful engagement and additional income on a flexible schedule.

Reporting Line: This role will report to the VP of Medical Operations and Behavioral Health

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct initial interviews and assessments with members to identify potential behavioral health concerns.
  • Process member paperwork efficiently and in compliance with established protocols.
  • Obtain essential information from members through surveys or interviews, ensuring all interactions are conducted courteously and professionally.
  • Ensure that all forms are completed accurately and that HIPAA procedures are strictly followed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to determine the best course of action for members following intake assessments.
  • Participate in additional duties and special projects as assigned.

What We Need from You:

  • Valid RN licensure.
  • Experience in mental health settings preferred.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Flexible Work Hours: Primary hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with part-time flexibility.
