Dental Assistant in Franklin, TN (Part-Time / 2 Days per Week)

Job Description

Titan Dental is growing in Nashville and is currently seeking Dental Assistants for our Franklin general dentistry office. The Dental Assistant is a staff-level position for general dental assistants. A primary goal of this position is to continue development of dental assisting skills in a general dentistry setting and advancing clinical skills towards more advanced procedures. This position will also require training and development of more junior dental assistants and working with the Practice Manager and other front desk staff to monitor and manage patient flows through the practice.

Essential Functions

Restorative Procedures:

• Set-up rooms and assist the dentist with various procedures
• Monitor nitrous oxide during procedures
• Escort patients back to the operatories and get them prepared for treatment
• Review patient medical histories
• Take good, reliable radiographic images
• When required, travel with dentist to operating rooms/surgical centers to assist during operating room cases
• Cleaning and maintaining dental instruments in the sterilization area
• Stocking rooms with instruments and supplies
• Assisting other dental assistants with their clinical notes
• Performing general cleaning and other duties in the office
• Assists in training newer dental assistants in advancing their skills and knowledge base
• Develops professional working relationships with fellow dental assistants, coworkers and trainers
• Develops an advanced understanding of Open Dental features
• All other duties as assigned by Management
