In 2022, Edward Jones invested $1 billion in technology infrastructure, digital initiatives, and virtual business enablement tools. What You'll Do:
Our Digital Organization is looking for you to join our team as a dynamic and strategic person to drive the architecture, engineering, and operations for Middleware and Platforms. You will work cross functionally to further Edward Jones strategy of agnostic infrastructure for its application development organizations.
Here are a few of the key responsibilities that you will be a part of:

Drive the architecture, engineering, and delivery of the middleware development framework in an as-a-service model to ensure that application development teams are agnostic to underlying infrastructure and cloud complexities

Drive creation of reusable libraries, APIs, Microservices, templates and tools needed to monitor, observe, and operate applications in a unified way

Oversee the architecture of Kubernetes platforms, both on-premises and in public cloud

Manage the implementation and operation of WebLogic and similar middleware technologies and create a pathway for migration towards Kubernetes and Cloud

Drive cross-functional teams and drive the platform as a product

Drive strategy, relationships, and alignments with the application product teams to set standards for application architecture

Develop and manage requisite governance practices to ensure effective application onboarding, performance management, and operations.

Partner with applicable teams to ensure that capabilities are in place to achieve modern security, application development, testing, observability, and operational requirements.

Ensure deep understanding of delivery timelines and critical paths

Ensure adherence with all financial services industry regulatory, security, and compliance requirements

Partner with DevOps team to ensure alignment and governance around CI/CD pipelines and automated baseline testing of applications
What You'll Need :
- Bachelor's Degree or related work experience
-
Container Production Experience with Kubernetes (ECS/EKS, GKE, or similar) and Docker
-
10+ years' experience related to Technology Including :
- Knowledge of WebLogic and other similar Middleware technologies

Delivering Complex solutions with automation, CI/CD and self-healing capabilities
-
Delivering security-focused solutions using CI/CD pipeline technologies
-
Strategic thought leadership in operating Middleware and platforms in public/private hybrid cloud operations

Transforming teams from legacy practices to automation and software-defined models
-
ITIL or similar Process knowledge with a track record of implementing operational best practices
-
Supporting large, complex environments and managing Middleware/Platform Operations at scale
-
CI/CD and application of DevSecOps mindset and principles (use and architecture)
