The Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) invites applicants for several temporary faculty positions for the 2022-2023 academic year, including summer 2023.IUP offers CCNE accredited programs leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing (education and administration tracks). IUP also offers a PhD in Nursing with an emphasis in nursing education. DutiesCandidates must demonstrate current clinical expertise and will be required to teach a variety of undergraduate courses throughout the curriculum. Faculty may have the opportunity to teach in the masters and PhD nursing programs.The successful candidate may be assigned to work at off campus sites and/or provide instruction through distance education.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Master of Science in Nursing is preferred. Candidates without a graduate degree may be considered when fully qualified faculty are not available and shall teach under guidance of another qualified faculty member in the department. Candidates without a graduate degree in nursing shall have a baccalaureate degree in nursing and evidence of a plan for obtaining a graduate degree in nursing within a 5-year period. Candidates without a degree in nursing but hold a graduate degree in a subject area pertinent to their area of teaching may be considered to teach in a specialized area of health care practice. Candidates must also possess a current USA RN license. All candidates must communicate effectively and perform well during interview(s), including a teaching demonstration.The department seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
