Senior Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

Deposco is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.  We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in the monthly accounting close procedures, including proper period-end cut-off and adherence to the accounting close schedule.

• Day-to-day general ledger accounting, including journal entry preparation and related reporting in the areas of Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Bank/Cash, Prepaids, Fixed assets and Accruals.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations on a monthly basis, ensuring understanding of the activity in the balance sheet account and documentation used to support the balance.   

• Develop, maintain, and utilize a documented set of accounting policies and procedures, transaction processing operations and control systems.

• Manage and participate in improvement projects.  Own, support, and cultivate new ideas, tools, and activities that will continue to drive world-class processes.    

• Assist with financial audits. Act as a key point of contact, prepare audit schedules, provide necessary information and documentation.

What You'll Need:

• 3-5 years of experience in a corporate or public accounting role is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA and/or MBA advantageous.

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint

• Positive attitude and desire to learn, contribute and grow with an accomplished team.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842 helpful.

• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
