We are currently seeking a Design Professional to join our team in Austin, Texas. A Design Professional is responsible for working with the project team to assist overall effort of completing various project phases including performing architectural assignments and receiving specific and detailed instruction as to tasks required and results expected.
- Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
- Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
- With direction from the project architect and senior design professionals, develop, modify, and review drawings ensuring the incorporation of design and technical intent.
- Works closely with entire design team and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules.
- Assist in developing project scope, plan, and services. Translate planning concepts into more detailed floor plans and technical design solutions.
- Develop an understanding of clients’ program requirements, standards, and policies.
- Build design information for client/project team review.
- Compile data.
- Perform product research; assist designers and project architects with material selection and system research.
- Assure HOK document standards are met and archive documents appropriately.
- May assist team in construction administration document management.
- May mentor and direct the work of intern staff.
- Take personal responsibility for fostering sustainable work practices.
- Foster a commitment to external and internal client service.

- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as Enscape, Rhino, and Lumion preferred.
- Proficiency in Affinity suite of preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM.
- Basic knowledge of architectural building systems.
- Basic knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines

- Bachelor’s degree in architecture required.
- Portfolio documenting academic and professional design work.
- 3 to 7 years’ experience.
- LEED credential required within 6 months of employment.
- Proficiency in Revit
