As a Detect and Avoid (DAA) Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be part of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Team. You will contribute to the DAA system design, implementation, and testing, and your expertise will help set the vision for the final DAA product. Your contributions will enable Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations of unmanned aircraft.
- Work with internal stakeholders to establish DAA system requirements and architect the DAA system

Analyze, source, and select detection/perception solutions for use in air and on ground

Develop sensor models in simulation for evaluation of DAA algorithms

Implement detection and tracking algorithms in flight software

Test software in simulation, hardware-in-loop, and flight

MS in computer science, robotics or similar advanced degree

Deep technical expertise in one of the following areas: radar, lidar, or computer vision

2+ years professional experience developing perception algorithms

2+ years professional experience with C/C++

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Object detection and tracking algorithms

Low level radar processing algorithms

Beam scanning radar

Vision system hardware calibration

Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time. This position can be filled remotely or based at our facility in Mountain View, California.
The estimated salary range for this position is $113,500 to $207,500. At Reliable Robotics, we strive to provide competitive and rewarding compensation based on experience and expertise, as well as market conditions, location, and pay equity.
