Summary:

The Caption Care Developer Lead is a key member of the technical team responsible for designing, building, and implementing highly scalable, resilient and performant cloud-based applications.

This is a remote position.

Duties/Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain cloud-based web applications built on Azure.
Work with the software architect on software design, patterns and other technical details.
Work with project management to plan development activities and break down work tasks.
Work with the quality assurance team to deliver high quality software that delights customers.
Work with customer success to address issues found in the field.
Identify areas for improvement both in the software and within company policies and procedures.
Promote a culture of diversity and equity through the company's core values.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills/Abilities

Previous work experience with Microsoft Dynamics
Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving skills to find product flaws before software release.
Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate product quality.
Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
Working according to deadlines for the delivery of product roadmap.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 or similar software.

Education and Experience

8+ years experience building and delivering production quality software.
3+ years leading a software development team.
2+ years with Microsoft Dynamics (huge plus)
BS degree in computer science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Strong experience with JavaScripts and HTML/CSS
Proficiency in C# (.NET core), object orient techniques and troubleshooting.
Experience using container technology (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong experience using relational (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (Table storage, MongoDB, CosmosDB).
Experience using cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and RESTful APIs.
Lead, develop and influence software development patterns and standards.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to other team members.
Strong understanding of application security.
Strong teamwork ethic, passion for learning and desire to seek new challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Startup experience is a plus.
