Aiven is a hypergrowth Platform-as-a-Service company offering the best in open-source and data technologies on multiple cloud platforms.
Headquartered in Helsinki with hubs in Berlin, Boston, Paris, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo and Toronto, Aiven provides managed open-source data technologies, such as PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka and M3, on all major clouds.
In 2022, we raised Series D funding of $210M to fuel our global expansion, the comprehensiveness of our platform and to focus on new programs in sustainability and diversity in tech.
Open source is at our core. We compensate our employees who contribute to open source outside of their daily work with Aiven and we have set up an Open Source Program Office (OSPO), to actively focus on giving back to the open-source community.
Our Mission and Values
Aiven's mission is to enable customers to drive business results from open source, transforming their businesses. We love to operate our favorite tools at scale and empower our customers, in over 60 countries, to do great work.
We live our values of courage, openness and ownership every day, and continually strive to ensure that every Aivener is empowered to contribute creatively and meaningfully, in a work environment where they have the tools to succeed and the comfort and support to be themselves.
About the Role
Our fast-growing, cross-disciplinary team works together or in smaller groups on a mix of projects. We organise and speak at events, produce technical content in a variety of formats and support speakers and authors from around the business to raise awareness of Aiven in the industry. Cluster, our startup program, and Aiven's own developer event are both run from this team and aim to bring Aiven to new audiences that we think will enjoy the platform. We are also proud to be the maintainers of Aiven's developer portal, and other developer-facing resources such as code repositories, integrations, and sample applications that form a big part of our delightful developer experience.
With that in mind, we are looking for excellent humans who enjoy a variety of projects to help us take care of both our people and our projects. We are scaling very quickly and want to make sure that we invest well in both our people and the work that we do. You will have line management responsibility and some project responsibilities, to align with your interests and existing experience, as well as support from your own manager to find and pursue growth opportunities yourself.
This is a 100% remote opportunity and we are hiring for this position in Europe (including UK) and USA/Canada east coast time zones.
