Our product and engineering teams develop apps used by our members, tools used by our field teams that are powered by a sophisticated analytics platform, and infrastructure that services our operations and health plans customers. We are now seeking a DevOps Engineer with start-up experience to support our development, QA, and analytics teams, and to constantly improve our systems.

High Clock Speed

Seasoned DevOps Engineer

The candidate should have 2+ years of prior DevOps experience, and experience working in a startup environment of a similar size. They should be familiar with Amazon AWS, Atlassian products, and CI/CD. They should be comfortable supporting multiple teams, including development, QA, and analytics. They’ll be expected to support daily operations, as well as constantly improve the overall system to reduce the number of incoming tickets.


Responsibilities

  • Working alongside our other DevOps resources, and reporting to the Head of Engineering
  • Working closely with the Analytics and Data Science team to manage their AWS infrastructure
  • Managing our VPN
  • Managing our Atlassian products
  • Managing our CI/CD infrastructure
  • Managing our test automation framework running inside of CI/CD
  • First line of defense on account lockouts, password resets, deployments, and test runs in those environments

Requirements

  • 2+ years of DevOps experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time and to the satisfaction of stakeholders
  • Experience working with Development, QA, Analytics, and Product Management teams
  • Amazon AWS certifications a plus
  • Salesforce experience and certifications a plus
  • Strong technical skills in the following technologies:
    • Various AWS services including EC2, Directory Service, Cloudwatch, KMS, IAM, VPC, AWS Workspaces, S3, RedShift, Lambdas, etc.
    • OpenVPN running inside of AWS
    • Various Atlassian products, including JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and Service Management
    • Experience with CI/CD platforms, including BitBucket Pipelines and/or Jenkins
    • Experience with Selenium Test Automation, running inside of CI/CD
    • Experience with automation technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
    • Strong SQL database skills
    • Strong skills in scripting languages (i.e. BASH, Python, NodeJS)
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance, HITRUST and healthcare security a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
