DevOps Engineer

The Role

Doxel is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team to continuously improve our ability to deliver business value at high velocity and ensure production systems run smoothly through a combination of philosophy, practices, and tools. Your objective is to enable Doxel to serve our customers and compete more effectively in the market through continuously improving velocity and quality by eliminating waste.

Responsibilities

Work with product and engineering teams to remove bottlenecks from our software delivery lifecycle through improving our CI/CD pipelines, security, production on-call process, cloud infrastructure, and coordination between operations, product, and engineering.
Build and roll out Doxel’s core infrastructure components.
Build solutions and guardrails to allow our backend, computer vision, and machine learning engineers to develop their data pipelines and production API’s while ensuring SLAs are being met.
Improve the developer experience and productivity of our software engineers to allow them to ship things faster with high rigor.
Take responsibility for the architecture and technical leadership of the entire cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using best practices around SecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as a code (IaC), containerization, API’s, data pipelines, and MLOps.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE role
Demonstrated ability of writing programs utilizing programming or scripting languages, preferably in python.
Demonstrated ability with building, maintaining, and improving data pipelines with workflow orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow.
Proven track record of guiding developers on building applications utilizing managed services and leveraging orchestration (Kubernetes).
In depth knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and building deployable infrastructure on top of it using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with Terraform.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, CircleCi).
Experience setting up and running logging and monitoring solutions like DataDog, NewRelic, Google Cloud’s Operations, ELK, and/or Grafana.
Knowledgeable of cloud security risks and security best practices in a production environment
