DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a forward thinking DevOps Engineer to come join us as we strive for Engineering excellence! At CyberSmart we thrive on change, and are in a huge state of transition in our product, and how we build and maintain that product. You will be joining our Product Engineering team, working directly with software engineers, QA engineers, Product managers, designers and researchers, as well as an open landscape to all parts and people across our organisation.


Key Tasks / Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve our development tools, services and environments, including continuous integration (CI) and looking forward to continuous delivery/ deployment (CD)
  • Design, implement and maintain a cloud based SaaS Product
  • Support our infrastructure roadmap to allow for a scalable and secure product
  • Supporting peers within the development cycle to improve and enhance our ‘ways of working’ within an agile environment
  • Take a conscious role in Security & Compliance relating to our product, infrastructure, and ‘how we deliver’ at CyberSmart
  • Support the infrastructure and release management of our Web, Desktop and Mobile applications
  • Work together with Quality Assurance Automation, constantly shifting left on quality and security

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and experience Implementing cloud infrastructure using AWS
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform and Terragrunt
  • Experience implementing risk assessment techniques and knowledge of the latest security best practices
  • Good understanding of security impacts on each development phase and services.
  • Experience building and maintaining continuous integration pipelines, knowledge using CircleCI preferable
  • Good knowledge and experience of automation and building tools and performance testing tools
  • Experience in container based technologies and strategies
  • Strong knowledge of version control/Git
  • Good experience with leading projects and making technical decisions: hands on experience in owning design and implementation decisions in relation to building & maintaining scalable solutions
  • Experience in agile work environment with a Product company having either built, or lead within a continuous delivery lifecycle
  • Excellent knowledge in state of the art software engineering practices
  • Achievement oriented with proven skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Innovative problem solving skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability in applying sensitivity and professionalism when communicating across geographical and cultural boundaries.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change. An innovative thinker that can respectfully challenge the status quo and drive change.
