Job Description:
DevOps Engineer with Recovery Database Network (RDN is a business unit of OpenLane, Inc.) in Mesa, AZ. Work with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, Azure pipelines, Teamcity, Travis etc. for facilitating application development; Have strong unix system administration skills; Work with Jenkins, Terraform and Salt Stack; Work with Network Administration and DNS. Handle releases to test environments for the database, application, and microservices; one of these resources that facilitates production releases when needed; use Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins etc. to facilitate development and get solutions deployed in est; dockerize new solutions for seamless deployments with Kubernetes; aid DevOps team to build deployment pipelines for production; utilize modern cloud-based tools such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Azure Cloud Environment; orchestrate the use of various cloud solutions for maintaining existing applications and creating new features; help the team with utilizing new cloud features to guide new projects; work in an agile team following SAFE scaled agile practices; attend daily stand up for discussing daily tasks and roadblocks; participate in sprint planning and grooming to estimate future stories; participate in business meetings to provide technical inputs for new planned features; help prioritize new features while keeping in mind current workload and deadlines; communicate with clients and customers on integrations and production issues and provide technical assistance; networking Evangelist for new and existing customer’s network teams to help integrate and troubleshoot connection issues and setup; manage security and firewall and general cloud perimeter configurations with clients; address production support issues and provide detailed root cause analysis to stakeholders; utilize knowledge in application to tackle urgent production issues; provide temporary workarounds for customers when available; write urgent bug fixes or database changes as needed to ensure quick issue resolution; ensure cloud compliance related architecture solutions to keep data secured and enhance security of the application; create and Monitor data management solutions and alerts in cloud environments; monitor logs and access to systems; and monitor uptime, SLAs, system health. May work remote from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology/Information Technology Management, or related field, and 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation in DevOps Engineering; or a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology/Information Technology Management, or related field, and 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or related occupation in DevOps Engineering. Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience with each of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins; Docker Containerization; AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure Cloud Environment; Strong unix system administration; Network Administration and DNS; Jenkins, Terraform and Salt stack; and CI/CD pipelines such as Bamboo, Azure pipelines, Teamcity, Travis.
