Meet the team:
This opening is for the Manager, SDK Mobile App SW Test Development for the Dexcom R&D V&V Organization. This is a player/coach role and needs to reside within 75 miles of San Diego and will be hybrid, onsite 2-3 days/week. We are seeking a seasoned, highly motivated individual to join the team.
Within the overall Software R&D organization, you will be leading the team responsible for the daily V&V project operation includes planning, implementation, and execution of test case design, automation, and V&V cycles on numerous releases of SDK for Mobile Apps. This is an opportunity to join an expanding team to nurture, grow, and develop a sizable organization in order to establish and optimize best in class test engineering practices around a complex product portfolio.
Where you come in:
• Manage the team who is responsible to:
• Design and Develops test automations in Java, Kotlin or Swift languages to validate Dexcom CGM SDK product per software requirements and design specifications.
• Design and develop mobile App test tools in Android and iOS platform for Dexcom CGM SDK product automation.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to test the functionalities of the Dexcom CGM SDK software, and integration to the mobile Apps.
• Document test plans, protocols and reports with detailed results and requirements traceability for the product validation.
• Record and track issues in JIRA bug tracking system and collaborate with development teams to ensure root cause is investigated.
• Follow internal software development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures that comply with medical and security regulations.
• Collaborate with development teams, QA, PM, PO and regulatory to define project scope and meet committed deliverables.
• Work regularly to engage employees to gain work efficiencies and conduct performance reviews regularly.
What makes you successful:
• Previous experience managing engineering teams and demonstrated success managing complex initiatives.
• Experience in software test development and software product development lifecycle - participate to build quality into products by reviewing documentation around the requirements, test plans, test reports and traceability reports.
• Experience in Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, which also include an external resource team
• Experiences in OOP language such as JAVA and Python.
• Experiences in Swift or Kotlin for mobile app development or unit test development.
• Understand the regulated industry and provide the correct procedures and training to maintain compliance
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage conflict professionally with a strong “can do” attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including discretion and situational awareness
• Desire to work in a fast paced, agile, and collaborative environment
• Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.

Travel Required:
• 0-5%
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
Experience and Education Requirements:
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8-12 years of industry experience
• Requires a degree in a technical discipline
• 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience

Salary:
$128,600.00 - $214,400.00
